Rangers Daily Farm Roundup: 8/10/18

Another big day in the Rangers farm system with the headline being a couple of pitchers that were acquired at the deadline. Rollie Lacy and Taylor Hearn, a Texas native, have many Rangers fans excited about the addition they can make to future Rangers pitching staffs.

Round Rock loses their 8th in a row and gets shut out for the second night in a row.

Northwest Arkansas 12, Frisco RoughRiders 1

It was a (s)hit show in Springdale, Arkansas tonight as the weekend series against the Naturals didn’t start well for the Riders. There was a combined 26 hits in the contest, unfortunately 18 came from the Northwest Arkansas squad.

Lynchburg 6, Down East Wood Ducks 3

Recently acquired Rollie Lacy got off to a rough start in this one allowing three runs in the first two innings. The weekend series isn’t off to a good start, but the Wood Ducks have a chance to bounce back over the next two days.

Lakewood 7, Hickory Crawdads 1

Despite some crazy weather and schedule changes in the last week, the Crawdads have been rolling as of late. Lakewood slowed them down tonight in the battle of first and second place teams as Hickory starter Tyree Thompson allowed four homers on the night.
