Rangers Daily Farm Roundup: 8/18/18

The Rangers played an exciting, muddy game on Saturday night, while some of their affiliates enjoyed better weather. Frisco, which is just down the road from the big club, didn’t enjoy the same fate as their game with Northwest Arkansas was postponed.

Round Rock Express 4, Memphis 2

Memphis hung 12 hits on the board, but just couldn’t make it happen when it really mattered. Good news for Round Rock, they’ve now won three of their last four after losing a BUNCH of games to start August.

Carlos Perez: 4/4, 2B
Nick Noonan: 3/4, 2 RBI
Hanser Alberto: 2/4, HR, RBI
Chris Jensen: 5 IP, 1 ER, 5 SO, 2 BB

Frisco RoughRiders vs Northwest Arkansas: PPD

Down East Wood Ducks 6, Salem 0

The pitchers the Rangers acquired at the trade deadline are doing their best to get Texas fans excited, and Jason Bahr did his part to contribute to that today.

Leody Taveras: 3/5, 3B, SB, 1 RBI
Anderson Tejeda: 2/4, RBI
Jason Bahr: 5 IP, 0 ER, 3 K, 0 BB

Greenville 7, Hickory Crawdads 1

My top pitching prospect in the system, Hans Crouse, allowed four runs in this one, but only one of them was earned. It was an unlucky night for the Rangers top pitching prospect.

Tyreque Reed: 2/4, HR
Preston Scott: 2/4
Hans Crouse: 2.2 IP, 1 ER, 4 K, 3 BB
