Rangers Daily Farm Roundup: 8/21/18

It was a huge offensive night for the Rangers affiliates as Frisco hung nine runs on the board and Hickory scored 14. There were a couple of good pitching performances as well.

Chris Rowley stole the show tonight with six shutout innings. He has now allowed just two combined runs over his last three starts.

How about another shutout? This time the effort was led by lefty Wes Benjamin. Every RoughRider except for one had a hit in this offensive outburst.

High-A

Down East Wood Ducks 4, Wilmington 0 (Suspended)

Today’s game was suspended and will be resumed tomorrow in the top of the fourth with Down East leading 4-0. The game will be the originally scheduled nine innings with a seven inning game to follow. Stats will be reported then.


Single-A

Hickory Crawdads 14, Greenville 4

One night after hanging 11 runs on the board, the Crawdads bats were at it again. This time they matched last night’s run total in one inning with an 11 run fifth.
