Rangers Daily Farm Roundup: 8/28/18

Spokane had the night off on Tuesday, but three of the top four Rangers affiliates got into the win column as we barrel towards the end of the MiLB regular season.

Round Rock Express 5, Memphis 3

Huge contributions from the top of the Express lineup on Tuesday night. The top five hitters in the order combined for all eight hits while the bottom four went 0/11.

Willie Calhoun: 1/3, 2B, RBI
Christian Lopes: 2/5
Scott Heineman: 3/5
Yohander Mendez: 2 IP, 0 ER, 2 K, 1 BB

Frisco RoughRiders 7, Corpus Christi 1

It was Joe Palumbo night in Frisco as the lefty got his second Double-A start.

Eliezer Alvarez: 1/3, HR
Josh Morgan: 2/4, 2B, RBI
Jose Cardona: 1/3, 2B
Joe Palumbo: 4.1 IP, 1 ER, 2 K, 2 BB

Carolina 4, Down East Wood Ducks 3

The Wood Ducks took the lone loss in Tuesday night’s action, but it wasn’t due to a lack of hitting. Down East racked up 11 hits, but only managed three runs… I didn’t say it wasn’t because of a lack of “timely” hitting.

Andretty Cordero: 3/5, 2B
Brendon Davis: 2/5
Charles Leblanc: 2/5
Emerson Martinez: 5.1 IP, 2 ER, 6 K, 3 BB

Hickory Crawdads 4, Delmarva 2

It was a comeback victory for the Crawdads as they scored three in the final two innings to take this one 4-2.

Tyreque Reed: 1/2, HR, 2 RBI
Seth Pozo: 2/4, 2B
Yonny Hernandez: 2/4, 2B, 2 RBI, SB
Reid Anderson: 7 IP, 1 ER, 4 K, 3 BB
