Rangers Daily Farm Roundup: 8/29/18

Today’s Rangers MiLB Headlines: A.J. Alexy was outstanding yet again for the Hickory Crawdads. The Down East game saw a combined 19 runs. Frisco inches closer to the second half division crown.


Memphis 8, Round Rock Express 4

Round Rock added three runs in the bottom of the ninth, but it was too little too late at that point. Austin Bibens-Dirkx threw 100 pitches, only 58 of those were strikes.

Carolina 10, Down East Wood Ducks 9

This offensive explosion was highlighted by a seven run second inning from Carolina that made starter Rollie Lacy exit after just 1.1 IP. Down East outhit Carolina 13 to 11, but also committed three errors to the Mudcats one.

A.J. Alexy got the start for the ‘Dads and he continued his dominant ways. Over his last seven starts, the 20 year old right hander has tossed 44.1 innings while striking out 62 opposing hitters. Tonight made it back to back starts for him with 10 K’s.
